Kassie Mowry leads the WPRA world standings in barrel racing with $134,021 in regular-season earnings. She holds a $41,520 lead over second-place Latricia Duke. Mowry has entered seven events this season and placed in six. Her fastest run this year is 13.92 seconds.
Mowry's current earnings represent a 45% advantage over Duke's $92,501. Third place in the standings belongs to Emily Beisel, who has earned $85,540. Mowry has secured two event wins and six go-round victories this season. She is currently positioned within the top 15, on pace to qualify for the Wrangler NFR in Las Vegas.
The Dublin, Texas, cowgirl is also known as a top futurity horse trainer. Her nickname is Sleepy, a name earned after she once slept through her barrel racing run. Mowry will not defend her title at The American Rodeo in 2026, having withdrawn from the event. She had previously won The American Rodeo and was the reigning WPRA World Champion.
The PRCA season continues with major summer rodeos on deck. The Reno Rodeo, a key event in the summer run, is approaching. Calgary Stampede follows, running July 3-12 with a tournament format. Cheyenne Frontier Days, a qualifying format event starting in 2026, is scheduled for late July. Other significant summer stops include Salinas and Pendleton, known for its grass arena. The Cinch Playoffs are scheduled for Sioux Falls around October 2, leading into the Wrangler NFR, December 3-12, at the Thomas & Mack arena in Las Vegas. ```
