About the PRCA
Formed in 1936 as the Cowboys Turtle Association, renamed the Rodeo Cowboys Association in 1945 and the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association in 1975. The PRCA sanctions roughly 650 rodeos a year across the United States and Canada, runs the thirteen Circuit system, and caps the season with the National Finals Rodeo in Las Vegas every December.
