About the WPRA
Founded in 1948 as the Girls Rodeo Association, renamed the WPRA in 1981. The WPRA sanctions barrel racing at every PRCA rodeo, runs its own breakaway roping tour, and pays World Champions at the NFR and the National Finals Breakaway Roping.
