About Tie-Down Roping.

A calf is released; the roper chases, ropes it, dismounts, flanks the calf, and ties three legs with a "pigging string". Stopped by hands-up signal. Clock starts when calf crosses line, stops when hands go up. Sub-8-second runs win.
