Bareback Riding's NFR bubble is a knife fight

The top 15 is not a wall. It is a door that swings both ways every weekend.

The top 15 in bareback riding is a dynamic list. Every dollar earned is a step toward Las Vegas or a slip back into the pack. With the Cinch Playoffs in Sioux Falls and the Wrangler NFR approaching, the races for qualification spots are tightening.

Clayton Biglow is #13 in the PRCA standings with $58,628 earned. Hailing from Clements, CA, Biglow has earned a place in the NFR conversation. He plans to enter as many rodeos as he can to secure his spot.

Weston Timberman, from Columbus, MT, holds the #14 position with $52,660. He is in contention for an NFR berth.

Tanner Aus of Granite Falls, MN, is currently #15 with $50,351. He is on the NFR bubble, with limited room for error as the summer run intensifies.

Kade Sonnier of Carencro, LA, sits at #16 with $45,807. Sonnier is outside the top 15. He needs to gain ground in the standings.

The summer run, including events like the Reno Rodeo, offers substantial prize money that can shift the standings. These events are crucial for riders like Aus and Sonnier to capitalize on opportunities. Biglow also looks to bolster his earnings. He recently claimed wins in his home state.

The race for NFR qualification means every ride, every score, and every dollar counts. The top 15 is a shifting landscape. This weekend's performances will influence who moves closer to the Thomas & Mack in December.
