Rocker Steiner leads Bradlee Miller by $4,688 at the top of bareback riding

Rocker Steiner, from Weatherford, Texas, leads the PRCA Bareback Riding standings with $122,142 in season earnings. Bradlee Miller, from Huntsville, Texas, holds the second position with $117,454.

Steiner has recorded three wins this year. He rode Disco Party for a 90.5-point score to become the back-to-back bareback riding champion at 2026 RODEOHOUSTON. His first go-round win at the National Finals Rodeo came in 2022. Steiner earned his first PRCA Bareback Riding World Championship at the National Finals Rodeo in December 2025. He also won the 2026 American Rodeo Championship.

Miller has two wins this season.

Steiner is currently sidelined following neck surgery. Reports from early June state he is expected to miss approximately three months of competition. News of his injury and subsequent surgery broke two weeks prior. Reigning PRCA World Champion Bareback Rider Rocker Steiner announced his plans for neck surgery.

"Reigning PRCA Bareback Riding World Champion Rocker Steiner is expected to miss approximately three months of competition after announcing plans to undergo neck surgery, a major development that could affect the 2026 bareback riding title race," one report stated. Steiner, age 22, will temporarily step away from competition for recovery. A recent YouTube highlight features Steiner discussing how playing a guitar helped him realize the severity of his injury.

The summer run includes events such as Reno, Calgary, Cheyenne, Salinas, Pendleton, and Ellensburg. The week of July 4, known as Cowboy Christmas, will feature rodeos in Cody, Prescott, Greeley, St. Paul, and Red Lodge. The Cinch Playoffs are scheduled for Sioux Falls, leading into the Wrangler NFR in December 2026 in Las Vegas. The top 15 by regular-season earnings will qualify for the NFR.
