Disco Party marked three riders into the 90s

Calgary Stampede's bareback horse went to the 90s three straight times this winter, under Tilden Hooper, Wacey Schalla, and Rocker Steiner.

Ninety-two points. Tilden Hooper put that up on Calgary Stampede's Disco Party at the Fort Worth Stock Show Rodeo, and it bought him the final round and $20,000. It was not the only time the horse did that this winter.

Disco Party went to the 90s three times in 2026, three different riders aboard, and never came back under 90.5. Hooper's 92 at Fort Worth was the high mark. Wacey Schalla rode the horse for 91 at the San Antonio Stock Show and Rodeo and collected $16,512. Rocker Steiner drew the same trip in Round 6 at RodeoHouston, marked 90.5, and cashed $65,000, the biggest single check of the three.

Three trips, an average of 91.2, a low of 90.5. A bareback horse that marks every rider it draws into the 90s is doing the hard part of the job for the cowboy. The man still has to ride it. Hooper, Schalla, and Steiner all did.

The three checks came out of the winter run, Fort Worth, San Antonio, and Houston, the heavy-money rodeos that open the year. The bareback standings get settled later, across Reno and Cody and the Cowboy Christmas week in early July. Disco Party has already been to the 90s three times. Anyone who draws the Calgary Stampede pen this summer knows the number to beat.
