San Angelo produced the two best bareback rides of the year
Keenan Hayes and Toby Deudney both marked 93 at the Cinch Chute-Out, the high bareback scores of 2026.
Two 93-point rides came out of the same arena this winter, and they sit at the top of the bareback season. Both happened at the San Angelo Cinch Chute-Out. Keenan Hayes rode Pete Carr Pro Rodeo's Nite Faded for 93. Toby Deudney matched him on Boot Barn's Night Crawler, out of Pickett Pro Rodeo, and took $7,500.
The next tier sits a point back and is worth knowing for the summer draw. Tilden Hooper marked 92 on Calgary Stampede's Disco Party at the Fort Worth Stock Show Rodeo. Leighton Berry got 92 on Korkow Rodeos' Tator Tot at the San Angelo Stock Show and Rodeo. Both of those horses have been to the 90s more than once this year.
Bareback is the event where the horse sets the ceiling and the rider decides whether he reaches it. San Angelo had the two trips this season where both things happened at once. The riders chasing those 93s get their next look at a markable pen when the summer run opens.
