Wacey Schalla Carried Out of Arena After Scary Wreck in Nashville

Wacey Schalla, an up-and-coming star in both the bareback riding and bull riding, was involved in a scary wreck in the bull riding at the Music City Rodeo in Nashville, Tenn. Schalla was carried out of the arena after the incident. He escaped critical injury but has broken his femur.

Schalla is 20 years old from Arapaho, OK, standing at 5' 6.9" and weighing 146 pounds. He won the bareback riding event at the Cinch World's Toughest Rodeo in Des Moines, Iowa.

Rocker Steiner, the PRCA Bareback World Champion, was recently sidelined by neck surgery. Steiner began the 2026 season with wins at Rodeo Corpus Christi and RodeoHouston.

Schalla and Bradlee Miller are competing in the bareback racing season. Jacob Lees and Leighton Berry are also in the running.

The incident occurred during the last performance of the Music City Rodeo. Schalla's condition was reported by Mama Nikki Schalla.

The Reno Rodeo is scheduled for this weekend.
