The saddle bronc riding bubble is getting mean
Inside and outside the NFR cut line with months of Cowboy Christmas left to run.
Shorty Garrett is currently ranked #13 in the saddle bronc riding standings with $47,819 in earnings. Ryder Sanford is right behind him at #14 with $44,407. Lefty Holman is holding on to the #15 spot with $42,947, while Statler Wright is just outside the cut line at #16 with $41,678.
These four riders are all within $6,000 of each other in the standings. The top 15 riders in the regular-season standings will qualify for the Wrangler NFR, which will take place at the Thomas & Mack in Las Vegas.
Garrett, from Eagle Butte, SD, has earned money at several events this season. Sanford, from Sulphur, LA, has had several top finishes. Holman, from Visalia, CA, has been to the NFR several times before. Wright, from Beaver, UT, is ranked #16 in the standings.
The PRCA season includes events like Red Bluff, Clovis, and Redding in the spring California run. The summer run includes events like Reno, Calgary, and Cheyenne. The Cinch Playoffs will take place in Sioux Falls in early October.
Garrett has been to the NFR before, finishing 10th in the world standings in 2020. He is currently ranked #13 in the standings. Sanford is ranked #14. Holman is ranked #15. Wright is ranked #16.
