Montana Student Loan Assistance Program Preserves Family Farms and Ranches
The Montana Department of Agriculture is now accepting applications for its Student Loan Assistance Program, designed to help college-educated young farmers and ranchers in Montana with student loan debt for up to five years. This program, established in 2019, aims to alleviate financial stress and encourage youth to remain in the state's agriculture industry. Qualified applicants must be Montana residents operating a farm or ranch, hold a degree from a Montana institution, and commit to operating their farm or ranch for at least five years.
