The fine print (4 rules)
- Competitors must be enrolled in grades 9-12 and maintain a passing GPA.
- No prize money; points accumulate toward state standings and Nationals qualification.
- Queen contest runs parallel to athletic competition at Nationals.
- Rough-stock age minimums vary by event (14 for bareback, 15 for bull riding in some states).
